Target Redesigns School Libraries
The Project
Leveraging the company's design expertise and spirit of its workforce, Target initiated a program to redesign and renovate school libraries across the country.

Target's Pro Bono Investment
Using the stewardship of Target's property development team, Target is conducting complete makeovers of select school libraries in store communities. Target partners with the Heart of America Foundation and the Points of Light & Hands On Network to identify schools and manage the process. Construction and design experts from Target develop a color palette and theme for each library, as well as schematics and imagery. On "build days," Team Members from local stores volunteer to help assemble, paint, shelve and organize the library.
